Michael L. O’Neal, D.O.

Go back

Michael L. O’Neal, D.O., was born in St. Paul, MN and raised in Southern Indiana. A long time resident of Florida, Dr. O’Neal was specially trained in the discipline of Family Medicine at the University of South Florida College of Medicine. During residency, he served as the Chief Resident and received many awards for his contributions to medical student and resident education. Throughout his young career, Dr. O'Neal has published 20 articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals.

Dr. O’Neal co-founded the Center for Family Health, Wellness and Prevention, the first membership medical practice in the United States to have ever been created without a preexisting patient base (which has drawn national attention). Dr. O’Neal has been selected as one of only 25 physicians in the nation to receive the prestigious AMA Leadership Award, and the first osteopathic physician to ever achieve this honor. In addition, Dr. O’Neal is also a team physician for the Toronto Blue Jays Major League Baseball team.

A passion for research, collaborative patient interrelation, and end- of-life care complement Dr. O’Neal’s holistic approach to patient care.

Dr. O'Neal’s co-authoring of this course has provided the “medical perspective” necessary to insure training in all areas of precaution is complete. His medical school training on infectious diseases brings with it a comprehensive plan on how to keep a safe, uninfected workplace. Combining the expertise of a medical doctor with the hands-on funeral applications provided by Patrick O'Neal, makes this course a valuable addition to our course offerings.
