This document answers some of the most frequently asked questions about Funeral Review.Com
|
Do I need to be a computer expert to take an on-line course?
No. You don't need to be a computer expert to take an on-line course. You need to understand basic computer and Internet principles, such as how to create and save document, cut, copy, and paste text, access the Internet, print from web pages, and follow hotlinks from one web page to another. A self-assessment can help you gauge your comfort with on-line education.
|
Can I review material prior to taking my exam?
No. You may review any of our
courses after you purchase your exam. We
do provide a short description of each
course before exam purchase.
We
have provided your course reviews in HTML
or PDF format.
HTML is standard Web page format. The PDF format more closely resembles reading a book, with actual page separations, magazine-style page layout, bookmarking capability and zoom features. PDF can be viewed on-line, or downloaded to a local hard drive to review without maintaining an active web connection. You must have the Adobe Acrobat Reader to view a PDF document, which is available free of charge on the Adobe web site.

How does Funeral Review.com use personal information?
The personal information we request from you will be used for submitting your continuing education credits to those states in which you are licensed. Although many states require only your licensing number, some require additional information, including your social security number. Also, many states require certain pre-licensing or mandatory training for non-licensed employees and your social security number is the only way in which we can track your information and verify it with the state should this be necessary. It will also be used for communications purposes between Funeral Review.Com and yourself. It will allow us to remind you of any upcoming deadlines for renewals and give you advance notice on new classes.
More about your social security number:
This information will be used strictly for our internal tracking purposes as well as for reporting your successful completion to your various state licensing boards. Also, many states require individuals to complete certain pre-licensing courses (i.e. HIV/AIDS) and therefore your social security number is a must in order for us to report your completion as you have not yet been issued a license number. The same is true for those states that require non-licensed operational support staff to be trained in communicable diseases and therefore have no license number issued by the licensing boards. However, as with all other personal information that we collect from you, be assured that this information will be held in the strictest of confidence at all times.

Wherever your Personal Information may be held within Funeral Review.Com or on its behalf, we take the appropriate steps to protect the Personal Information that you share with us from unauthorized access or disclosure.
Funeral Review.Com will hold all personal information in the strictest of confidence. As previously stated, we will only release this information on your behalf to individuals or licensing agencies that require it. We will not sell or provide this information to any third party. We value the trust you place in us and will do everything in our power to protect it.
For more information see our Privacy Statement.

Do I have access to information about my account?
Yes. When you are logged in and at your Student/Membership page, there is a link that allows you to view and change your personal information. It is very important that you keep this information up to date for us. Keeping us informed of new state licenses you may acquire will allow us to keep you informed of new exams that relate to that state. Keeping us informed should you change your "home" state, will allow us to alert you 3 months before your license becomes expired in that state.
